About the Author

Carolyn Bentley Wells is an author, researcher, and founder of If So Inclined Press, where she explores the intersections of neuroscience, longevity, creative performance, and rhythmic well-being.
She holds dual degrees in Biochemistry and Environmental Science from The University of Arizona, where she conducted field research in Cameroon on African Grey parrots under the mentorship of world-renowned cognitive scientist Dr. Irene M. Pepperberg. Carolyn has completed graduate studies in Communications Management at USC’s Annenberg School, combining scientific rigor with deep expertise in storytelling and human behavior.
Her background includes elite athletics, multicultural photography, yoga therapy training, and corporate wellness and risk-management leadership. As the creator of The 108 Event, a global initiative centered on rhythmic movement and seasonal practices, Carolyn is dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity, alignment, and creative purpose.
